Our experts come from diverse professional backgrounds having served in varying industries and departments (Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Children & Family Services (DCFS), Department of Education (ED), Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS), and Department of Veterans Affairs (VA); at both the local (Puerto Rico) and federal level.
To serve governmental and federal agencies, non-profit organizations (NPOs) and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), businesses and individuals, especially Veterans, who aim to enhance and sharpen their fundamental business skillsets and strengthen their organizations through technical assistance and support that will enable them to learn and apply best-industry practices and tools across varying industries.
To empower our clients (individuals/organizations) with knowledge, on-the-job training (OJT), and managerial methods that will enhance their rate of program success, especially when pursuing and administering local, state, and federal funds (grants) and/or small business development opportunities, by applying a holistic approach to ensuring quality engagement with workplace personnel and quality assurance and control (QA / QC) of business processes from the ground-up.
Most consulting firms are designed to respond to structured questions. But what if your question is unstructured? When you, as the client, “don’t know what you don’t know.” Hence, you miss the big picture or critical details and now the recommendations you have in hand only serve a specific purpose having assumed that you had the inside knowledge to execute.
We at StratTema believe in the practice of purposeful strategy development and distinguish ourselves from other consulting firms by being ‘goal’ and ‘metrics’ driven. Thus, it is our commitment to formulate recommendations - having considered the client’s best interest and overarching vision - with measures that are practical, measurable, and financially sound. To achieve this, StratTema thoroughly investigates and evaluates the area of need and provides a timely response with in-depth recommendations on how to effectively engage and resolve.
Purposeful strategy development, as it relates to both business (operational) and grant opportunity, effectively aligns organizational and/or individual objectives and goals with prospective funding. This is achieved by reviewing current operations (or designing an operational plan) that maximizes resource utilization and affiliate or partnered relationships, and aligning this with innovative and/or funded opportunities (i.e. grants).
As for clients in Puerto Rico, we typically see the case where the fundamental infrastructure is in place for organizations to run operations, but the strategic know-how to design strategy and implement a program that effectively aligns performance while maximizing resources, especially funded programs (grants) required to meet federal mandates and objectives, is a short fall. Hence, organizations either fail to meet goals, often resulting as noncompliant, or are, bottom-line, insecure and hesitant to pursue funded opportunities overall. Often times, the language barrier alone is a major hurdle and, consequently, the quality (QA/QC) in document creation is substandard and fails to meet program reporting requirements.
StratTema provides targeted training and technical assistance with a team of fully bilingual (English/Spanish) subject matter experts who are proficient in developing:
Varying types of strategies and courses of action as they relate to Program and Financial Management, Risk Management & Mitigation, Compliance and Corrective Action Planning, and Monitoring & Evaluation Planning.
Quality Assurance/Quality Control processes and supporting documentation (i.e. for GSA support; government contracting).
